Brian returns to the show to discuss all the "firsts" contained in this story by Uriah Derick D'Arcy. Then Eva will review the 2021 Netflix miniseries, Midnight Mass

They're baaaaaaack -- this time on video! Dan & Eva finally enter the 21st Century with a new platform and a new guest. William Xavier Chandler will discuss his novel, House of the Black Moon, set in the American Southwest. Then Eva will spin the tale of the Appalachian Vampire. And finally, Dan will review Castlevania, Season 1.

In episode 1 we meet Dan Klefstad author of Fiona's Guardians and Eva Vertrice author of A Fury.  Dan and Eva discuss Vampire books, stories and movies.

We’ll talk with Professor John Edgar Browning who studied self-identified vampires in New Orleans who drink human and animal blood to sustain themselves. Then Eva will read an excerpt from her forthcoming novel, A Hellish Fury. Finally, Dan will review a 1990s film that uses vampirism as a metaphor for drug addiction.

This week on Vamp Chat with Dan & Eva: Vampires ain't all city folk, so we'll feature Down Home Country Vampire, an anthology of rustic undead tales. We'll talk with two of the contributing authors. Also, Dan will share his research into a vampire he first encountered in a Dungeons & Dragons book. Finally, Eva will review a movie adapted from one of our all time favorite authors.

This week on Vamp Chat with Dan & Eva: A family of aswang vampires moves from the Philippines to America. We'll talk with Jason Tanamor about his novel, Vampires of Portlandia. Then, in honor of their March birthdays, Eva and Dan will share their thoughts about a vampire film from each of their birth years. Yep, your Vamp Chat hosts will finally put a date on themselves!
